10/2017: Our work on "Bi-phase Cobalt-Manganese Oxide with High Capacity and Rate Performance for Aqueous  Sodium-ion Electrochemical Energy Storage" has been published in
Advanced Functional Materials as a full-paper.  Congratulations to Xiaoqiang Shan & Daniel Charles.


08/2017: Dr. Teng gave an invited talk at American Chemical Society Meeting 2017 at Washington DC on "Enhancing the C-C splitting kinetics during the electro-oxidation of ethanol"


08/2017: Guangxing Yang gave an oral presentation and a poster presentation at American Chemical Society Meeting 2017 at Washington DC on ethanol oxidation reaction and ethanol aqueous conversion.


7/2017: Our work on "Influence of *OH adsorbates on the potentiodynamics of the CO2 generation during the electro-oxidation of ethanol" has been accepted for the publication in
Journal of Catalysis as a full-paper.  Congratulations to Guangxing Yang.


06/2017: Congratulation to Fenghua Guo, who has successfully passed the PhD qualification written exam.


05/2017: Daniel Charles, Xiaoqiang Shan and Guangxing Yang each gave a poster presentation at National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS)/Center for Functional Nanomaterials (CFN) 2017 User Meeting at the Brookhave National Laboratory.


05/2017:  Dr. Teng received
a three-year NSF grant to study the electrochemical reforming of ethanol for hydrogen production.


04/2017: Our work on "High purity Mn5O8 nanoparticles with a high overpotential to gas evolution reactions for high voltage aqueous sodium-ion electrochemical storage." has been accepted for the publication in
Frontiers in Energy as a full-paper (invited contribution).  Congratulations to Xiaoqiang Shan and Fenghua Guo.


02/2017: Congratulations to Daniel Charles and Guangxing Yang.  Both have received prestigious
Dissertation Year Fellowship (DYF) for the 2017-18 academic year.  The award of this Fellowship is in recognition of student's past academic performance and future promise. The Fellowship carries a stipend of $20,060 for the academic year (9 months) and is highly competitive (only 15 recipients in 2017 for entire university).


2/2017: Our work on "Structural Water Engaged Disordered Vanadium Oxide Nanosheets for High Capacity Aqueous K-ion Storage" has been accepted for the publication in
Nature Communications.  Congratulations to Daniel Charles.


11/2016: Our work on "Bivalence Mn5O8 with hydroxylated interphase for high-voltage aqueous sodium-ion storage" has been accepted for the publication in
Nature Communications.  Congratulations to Xiaoqiang Shan and Daniel Charles.


11/2016: Guangxing Yang, Danie Charles and Xiaoqiang Shan gave presentations at AIChE Annual Meeting at San Francisco, CA.

07/2016: Our work on "Enhanced Electro-Kinetics of C‒C Bond-Splitting during Ethanol Oxidation Reaction using Pt/Rh/Sn Catalyst with a Partially Oxidized Pt and Rh Core and a SnO2 Shell" has been accepted for the publication in
ChemCatChem and our artwork has been selected as inside cover! Congratulations to Guangxing Yang.
